Rock climbing, mountaineering and all other forms of outdoor activities are inherently dangerous and carry significant risk of personal injury or death. Any activities undertaken in conjunction with, or on, the property of the MCSA, are participated in at own risk. The MCSA, its members, the occupiers or owners of any land on which such activity takes place accept o responsibility for any loss, injury or damage to persons or property, howsoever arising, whether through negligence or otherwise. The MCSA does not recommend that anyone participate in these activities unless they are experts, seek qualified instruction or guidance, are knowledgeable about the risks involved and are willing to do, and do, personally assume all responsibility.

Your application will be submitted to the committee of the MCSA Amajuba section. Should they accept it, you will become an 'aspirant member'. You will then be invited to join them on a minimum of three outings. You will also be expected to attend at least one of the social events during this time, where you may be able to meet more members.

After you have attended the required number of outings, your membership will be put before the committee for a final decision.

Should your application not be successful, you'll be invited to discuss it with the committee. In certain cases, you may be invited to continue as an aspirant member for a further period of time, before your application is considered for full membership.
